T3DD09 Survey is eventually online

By:Thomas

29.06.09 12:27 released in

I have to admit that it took a while this year to bring the survey online. Just too much other things came across and so we needed some weeks. But now it's done and all attendees can now tell us their opinion on the TYPO3 Developer Days 2009.

Answering all questions will take 5 to 10 minutes and I think it's worth it because it helps us to make it even better next year! You can find the survey...

How to change shortcut for templates in Eclipse

By:Thomas

23.06.09 08:23 released in

Today I had the plan to start using code templates in Eclipse. Yeah I know that might be a little late but that better than never. Anyway... I use Quicksilver on my Systems which is a really nice all purpose quick launch application. I bound that application to the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl]+[Space]. Unfortunately Eclipse is using exactly this shortcut for templates.

Well, most people would...

TYPO3 API question

By:Thomas

04.06.09 12:17 released in TYPO3

You know that I generate the TYPO3 API documentation from the core sources. The core contains some 3rd party libraries like the very large ADODB. My question is if I should keep them in the API documentation in order to cover the complete core code or do you think it would be okay to strip that out before generating the documentation.

I'm not sure about this and I would like to hear your...

TYPO3 Developer Days 2008 (photo: Mario Rimann)

The TYPO3 Developer Days 2009 will start in a few hours. Actually we have to wait 3 more days. Unfortunately the weather god seems to be not very graceful with us. The weather forecast says, that we have sunny weather until wednesday... From thursday till sunday we have a chance for rain of above 80%. :-/

I really hope that the weather frogs are wrong on this one. And if they are, I'm...

By:Thomas

16.04.09 16:46 released in TYPO3, T3CONXX

So, today is my first full day in the US at the T3CON09-Dallas. I arrived yesterday at around 2pm local time which is 9pm german time. I was pretty tired and after a small (unwanted) trip on the freeways here I eventually arrived at my hotel. It's ok for the four days I would say.

A group of around 25 people drove to a really nice restaurant in the evening. They only serve two different things....

[T3CON09-US] Last night at home

By:Thomas

15.04.09 02:47 released in

It's now 2:48am local time. Local means GMT+1. It's my last night before my plane to Dallas takes off. It was a terrible night so far. My plan was to stay awake as long as possible so I can sleep in the plane. Well, this plan might work out perfectly because by the end of the night I will have slept around 1 hour. ;-)

Anyway, I'll try to report from Dallas about the conference and...
