Connecting TYPO3 and the iPhone (itt_clapp)
Hi,
I thought a bit how TYPO3 can come to the iPhone. Obviously it's not a very brilliant idea to bring the TYPO3 backend to the iPhone. But if you where at the T3DD08 you might now tt_clap. A funny thing that was invented to show your appreciation for something.
Well, here comes my idea. I will do a fun app for the iPhone that implements tt_clap on some way. I have a nice idea ready. All I want to know from you is:
"Would you pay a small amount of money for that up if some of it is donated to the TYPO3 Association. And if yes, how much would you pay?". When you answer you should keep in mind, that the application might be pretty useless. ;-)
I think I will do it anyway, but maybe we can do something for TYPO3.

Great idea. Please add a crawler configuration to get all contact data from a site direct for import in iPhone :)
And a voice-to-text-converter to publish messages on answer machine direct in a blog!

Yeah! I'm in with EUR 20,-. Go for it!
What about 4-5 different modes that will clap in different rhythms so we could group up an become a percussion band while clapping to the TYPO3-jingle... The faster you shake the faster you clap.

should itt_clap not be about measuring clapping volume/length?
you set like 3 or 4 options and let the people clap for every option while "itt_clap" measures the volumne and the length of time and calculates the appreciation-value for this option.
otherwise i also like the clapping by shaking idea.. so "itt_clap" should have 2 modes :-)

I would just pay for it. I will actually a bit disappointed if money go too T3A as I really heard only "no" from T3A when I needed something from them. No T3A support in any form from me...

thanks for your comments. I did some testing concerning audio on iPhone and I can say that the feature request for "clap-o-meter" is accepted. :-)

A Network functionality!
I think, tt_clap events are mainly driven by the crowed spirit.
So I would love to have some network community thing. If some
of my buddy starts clapping (maybe detected by the "clap-o-meter")
I could join the Event over the iNet and clap with him ... something :)
How about 10% are for the Asso. and than give it 5? in the App-Store?
Are there any Wireframes for the App out there or needed?

Your idea sounds really interesting. The problem about identifying the willingness to pay is that my pre-commenters added so much great ideas and suggestions, that we just don´t what your app will be finally able to do. I´d like to be updated on this topic. In the meantime I wish you good look and a lot of fun while working on it.

Your iPhone App could also have some statistics like:
- You did 512 claps this week
5? and a big big smile should be ok for your upcoming tt_clap.
Do you offer bundles with the iPhone? I need also the hardware ;-)
