The t3pages.de problem

By: Thomas

Hi,

today I found a thread about a new community website. The page is called t3pages.de and is basically a web 2.0ish listing of pages made with TYPO3.

There is something similar on typo3.org which is not very well administrated. Anyway...

Thomas Fleck from netresearch, who started the platform, asked the Association who were not amused about the page.

Well, I personally don't see the problem in such a portal, even if some people think, that it will split the community. I don't see that.

Today, Thomas has posted that the Association has engaged some lawyers. I don't know why and what the background is, so I won't judge anything here.

Let's see what happens and if we get some detailed information.

Greets,

Thomas

i know t3pages since this thread, i think like a lot of other people.
i'm wondering: why does somebody post things like that? everybody knows that this has good chances to end in a kind of flame war. so if you post such things you know that's for sure no deescalation only escalation...
i have no idea why... maybe as a kind of advertising?
that's the reason why i post this here and not in the thread, to put no additional wood in the fire.

I think this is all about dying in a glass of water. It seems to me as if the community is already splitted... by location, languages, competences, thus... any idea/initiative to bring people together is welcome.
Thanks to the core team and all the community members and typo3 rulez ;-)
