t3editor - code completion beta1

Hi,

as Tobias Liebig posted in his blog, Stephan Petzl and Christian Kartnig have published a first beta version of a code-completion feature for t3editor. For those of you, who don't know what t3editor is, here is a short description:

The t3editor is a editor for the TYPO3 backend that has syntax highlighting and some other features for your convenience like auto brackets, snippets and other stuff.

The new code completion feature is not just a stupid drop down box that provides all known keywords from TypoScript. It's context sensitive! This means that it only displays the options that make sense in the particular context you are editing. The data is based on an XML file that will describe the complete TypoScript Syntax. I say "will" because it's not complete yet.

And now it is your turn. The developer started a website where TypoScript will be documented. It's a wiki page and so everyone can help the project to give us the most powerful web-based TypoScript editor on the planet. ;-) Well, to make the decision easier for you. If you are not using t3editor but DEV3 or Coda for example it can also help you. The data from the website will exported to the various formats the various tools understand. In my opinion that is fantastic. A central place where information is collected and spread back to the community tools.

So please, help the teams - test t3editor and fill the gaps on tswiki.net. You'll find an installation-tutorial in the official announcement.

Greets,
Thomas
