The TYPO3 agency area42 has released an AddOn for the OpenSource Editor PSPad. This module will provide various helping features for writing TypoScript. Some of the features are:
The other features are described on the website of the project. The AddOn published as OpenSource under the under the GPL and the editor is freeware. Unfortunately the editor is only available for Windows, but the guys from area42 say it also runs under Linux with WINE. I will give it a try, and tell you my experiences. :-)

Also tried the Jedit ext from T3 + Jedit + TS Jedit online extension : allows you to modify you template from the editor directly to the T3 DB....
