Hi,

the releaseplan for TYPO3 has been changed. This is a result of a discussion based on the anouncement of Rasmus Skjoldan to release the new CI January 29th. In order to have a beta phase before 4.0 and to release the new version together with the new CI, the release of TYPO3 4.0 was also shifted to the 29th of January. This should be more professional than releasing 4.0 this december and releasing something like 4.1 because of a new CI. Personally I appreciate this... :-)

The new dates are:

• 4.0.0 beta: 20.12.2005
• 4.0.0 rc1: 24.01.2006 (feature freeze)
• 4.0.0 final: 07.02.2006

The dates can be found on the official roadmap, too.

By the way, the newsteam will hopefully start the next days with "meeting" in a new mailinglist and discussing the first news suggestions. :-D
