Good morning,
today I want to loose some words about a quite new but very usefull extension. It's called TER Update Check (key: ter_update_check).
Maybe you know the problem. You have to administrate a TYPO3 Installation with many installed extensions. If you don't updated them quite a while, you maybe want / have to update more than one extension at a time.?
The normal way to do so, is to search for every extension in the Online Repository to get the small little button with which downloads the new version. This is not very comfortable as you probably recognized.
In the next version of the Extension Manager, which should come with the new TER 2.0, this problem should be solved because it was a featurewish and was added to the project plan. (AFAIK)
But what to do now? The extension I mentioned at the beginning tries to help you. It downloads the complete information about the installed extensions from the Online Repository and offers a list where all extensions are listed for which updates are available. It's very usefull and shouldn't be missed in a TYPO3 Installation.
Try it!
Greets,
Thomas

Well, one can live only so long by basically exploiting oneself, so I think it's very understood in...
As you mentioned above, " it is much faster to copy and paste the needed stuff from other files." ...
Thanks for your great work and good luck!
