Commerce Developement

Hello,

yesterday we where in the Heidepark. It was nice, but I got a bad sunburn. The weather took me by suprise, and now I am red... ;)

But that was not the thing I want to tell you. I want to inform you about the progress of work on the upcomming commerce extension. Maybe you know that I'm working on a extension called dynaflex. This extension was built to change the TCA on the fly. In other words, the dynaflex extension creates inputfields in flexforms directly before the form is rendered in the backend.

The whole process is configurable. For example you can say, create an textinput and a selectbox for every dataset in table XY. Or call a userfunction (that returns a configuration for a field) if there are minimum N entries in database XY.

I know that this sounds a little bit confusing, but I'm working on a proper reference so that every developer can use it in his own extensions. (If it useful of course! ;) )

I can't tell you much about the commerce developement progress. The only thing I can say is, that the structure is very complex for programming. Especially the saving of table relations. We (or better I) have to save them manually because we need a little bit more data to save in the tables than TYPO3 is storing there. What's goind on in the frontend is out of my scope, so I can't say anything about this part.

I hope we have a basic system until the end of this week... We will see! :)

Greets,

Thomas
