it seems my I have a new hobby. Spending weekends with setting up my workstation... After my harddisk produced I/O erros two weeks ago. I broke my system by installing a new bootloader. DON'T INSTALL GRUB ON A SYSTEM WHERE THE ROOT FILESYSTEM IS FORMATTED WITH XFS! NEVER EVER!!!

While trying to re-setup my system I though that my RAM is fu...ed up and so I bought a new 1GB module. <IRONY>OK, I have a lot of money and buying a computer part for more than 100€ beside my other costs is just a peanut! Especially if the old RAM is not really broken... :(</IRONY>

But hey, I've learned a lot... ;)

A last tipp: Don't use Debian unstable this days. They are switching from xfree86 to xorg and from cpp 3.4 to cpp 4.0. It's really really unstable right now... In other words, for me it was impossible to install a complete system with KDE as WM. Hopefully they don't get the idea to switch to KDE 3.4 tomorrow... ;)
