becomes usable. :-) I worked a little bit on the new layout the last days and now you can see the content of the page there. It's not finished yet because it needs a lot of improvements and work in details but I'm on a good way I hope. ;-) Currently I have some problems by implementing all the things I want to do because the server doesn't support everything. My biggest problem is, that the server doesn't support GIF files. So I can't make any overlays with transparancies. OK, I could use image masks but to be honest, I don't feel like doing it that way...
But I have also good news. ;-) One of them is, that new layout works quite well with Opera!
Maybe you'll recognize that the new layout is table based. I know I should not use a table based layout but I am not a very skilled HTML layouter (You can see it at the current layout) and so I decided to use that technique. I hope you can forgive me.?
Please take a look at the new design and tell me your opinion! :-D

It is nice to see it come along so well. The blog comments should be integrated better though. The picture is to high for both layouts. You could use PNGs with transparency... You don't need GIFs for that. OTH, IEx will not render those correctly without a hack.

@Martin: PNG doens't work either. I have tested it. :-( The transparent areas in PNGs or GIFs are not transparent after passing through image magick!?
The gravatars will be replaced in the comments. I will see if I can change the numbering of the comments.
@Dieter: The colors are not finished. My plan is to give every section another color. So I have to play around with them to get nice result.

also, die Seitenaufteilung ist ok, aber das knallige Orange zwickt schrecklich in den Augen, that's not funny...
Da will ich gleich wieder wegscrollen - eine angenehme Pastellfarbe wäre da schon ein Gewinn.
