Hacking for trackbacks...

By: Thomas Hempel

Good day,

I finally solved my caching problem by hacking the method that clears the cache after updating or inserting a new blog entry. This is not the problem of TIMTAB I guess! The problem is, that not all cache tables will be cleared by clearing the cache for special pages. Exactly the table cache_hashes is not cleared...

The strange thing on this is, that it works sometimes and sometimes not...? In my special case, it works in one tree of the page and in the other tree it does not.

Anyhow, to avoid that the cache is cleared completely on every editing oder creating issue I decided to clear only the cache_hash table after all pagecaches are cleared by TIMTAB. I know that this is not the best way, but it works as far as I can see! :-)

I hope Ingo, I or anyone else will find a solution for this problem.

Greets,

Thomas

Did you forward these problems to Ingo or create a bug report?

Peace

I talked to him and he knows it. But my "hack" is not the best way to solve the problem. So I think also searches for a solution.

Nice layout change BTW. :-)

Since seams to be not TIMTAB related maybe a bug report (or a comment in an existing one) could be helpful.

Cheers

I don't know if this is really a bug. Because it works sometimes and sometimes not. I have no idea why...
We will see.

Greets,
Thomas
