Hello,
I just want to give a short status report what is going on in the commerce project.
We have added a new payment gateway that will be available as an extra extension. It's creditcard payment via barclaycard. Next thing will be a module for handling coupons. This won't be integrated into the commerce core but we will provide an extension for this.
The paypal payment priority was graded down because it will also be an extension and we have some more important tasks to do. ;-)
