Hi,
I have to say that the "enhanced" checkout will not make it into version 1.0 of commerce! :-( I simply had too less time to finish the work on it and we decided to shift it to version 1.1 in favour of stability. We have a working checkout which only disadvantage is his fixed structure. But we think it's better to keep the current checkout instead of implementing some fancy feature and shift the release of commerce once again.
We want to start an open beta a soon as possible and a new checkout will be a showstopper yet.
Anyhow, the better checkout will come with version 1.1 what is no problem in general because the standard configuration of the new one will be the same as the config of the current solution. So a change should not be too complicated at all. :-)
Greets,
Thomas
BTW: Since several weeks we have a pagerank of 3! ;-)

Is there an estimated date for the open beta launch?
Will the project description be changed before that?
