yet another Web 2.0 buzzword-service!

Let's create some TYPO3 music charts. The service last.fm (formally audioscrobbler) collects information about the music you are listing on your computer and creates charts from it.

You can assign to several groups and become an overview what your community is listen to. There are hundreds of groups right now but one was missing. You guess right... There was no TYPO3 group. But this dark days have an end now. I just created a TYPO3 last.fm group, where everyone can assign to.

The plugin for last.fm, which sends information about the current artist and song (nothing more nothing less) is available for lot's of player software. For example, Winamp, iTunes, Windows Media Player and Amarok. It's very interesting because you'll get your very personal charts and recommendations. There is a lot of stuff to explore on the website. It's funny to surf it!

I'm very excited how many of you will send some music information. :-)
