A new patch-version of TYPO3 has been released today. Version 4.0.5 only contains bugfixes. Especially one patch that fixes a security leak. See typo3.org security bulletin TYPO3-20070221-1 for detailed information.

Hi,
The 4.0.5 version contains also some other bugfixes. So it might be a good idea to make a regular update.
Greets,
Thomas

Some more words on this issue would be nice. Does it affect both - backend and frontend as well. Do i really need to update to 4.0.5 or is an update of t3lib/class.t3lib_formmail.php sufficient (i think it is, but it's just an assumption)
