Hello,
I finished my first day without any bad injuries but a lot of fun! After getting a skipass we started snowboarding with a newbie group. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that I never stand on a board before.
So the first tries to get down a really really flat hump (Actually it was 20 meters or something like that.) That was pretty demotivating because I made only one out of 10 I guess. Anyway, after that we started on a so called beginner slope. That was a bit steeper and there I didn't made it all. I tried but no way to come down the "hill" without sliding into the barricades on the left side. :-/ Additonally to that really foolish experience they had a drag lift. And that is definitely nothing for snowboard noobs.
Something around 1pm, we went to the basecamp that's on 2600m. One reason was to put our backpacks there and the other reason was to go down a "normal" slope. And what should I say... It was pure fun! When I first saw how steep the slopes are I tought that can't be code idea for a beginner and untalented guy like me. But it worked like magic. ;-)
Of course! I'm far away from beeing perfect! But I can go straight forward and I can brake without falling on my knees or my ass. And that made me a little proud. I think what I did today is not too bad for beginner.
Unfortunately I didn't took my camera with me, so I don't have any photos from today. I will take it up the mountain as soon as I feel save enough and I don't have to fear to break my cam. Maybe on monday.
Well, that was until now. I think there will come one more after the opening event this evening. But I can't promise anything.
Greets from France,
Thomas

Well, one can live only so long by basically exploiting oneself, so I think it's very understood in...
As you mentioned above, " it is much faster to copy and paste the needed stuff from other files." ...
Thanks for your great work and good luck!
