DevBlog: Install-Tool #4

Today I found some time to continue work on the new installer. I just made some first tests to reanimate the 123-installer. Eventually the 123-installer won't be a 123-installer anymore. It will contain some more steps. But don't worry! Our target is to make it as easy as it is now to install TYPO3 but give you the opportunity to execute a few more checks before anything will be written to the database. For example, check the directories and some other things before the installation finally starts.

Well, currently there is not too much to see in this mode but the framework basically works. Now we have to implement the needed modules for the installer that performs all needed checks. For this I got some support from the WEC team. The fine guys who provided a pre-install-check script to me.

I'm not sure if I can finish anything that can (or should) be shown at the snowboard tour but I will give my best! :-)

Greets,

Thomas
