Hi,
I thought it's time to reanimate the cookbook. And so I started this mission with a very short basic how-to that shows you how you can set up a TYPO3 installation that is running on postgreSQL.
Have fun and send me wishes for new recipes or corrections of existing ones.

Hi Bernhard,
that's strange but to be honest, I have no idea because I never tries postgres8 driver. You might have to clear some caches and remove the temp* files!?

how can I clear the caches? I am not able to login. The error-messages occur during login process.

Hello again,
it seems that no tables were generated in the postgresql database.
Is it necessary to create them manually, or which tool generates and initiates the database-tables ?

Hi Bernhard,
you have to create them manually with the Install-Tool. See step 5 of the how-to. You have to call the installer directly (typo3/install/index.php)!

Hello,
I tried to get a system running with Postgresql-8.x and I tried it as you described (with one exception: I used the driver postgres8). Like you can see in the error-message below, it seems, that typo3 want to use the postgres7 driver........What do you think about this?
