Hi,
I'm on mac for several months now and still I switched to the new OS I searched for a nice client to access the TYPO3 newsgroups. Some of you may ask why I searched for an alternative to Thunderbird which has newsgroup support built in.
Well, I was never really happy with Thunderbird under Mac OS. The biggest glitch for me was the not existing support for the Apple Addressbook. It really sucks if you have such data twice. So I wanted to replace Thunderbird with Mail. But on the one hand Mail has no real threadview. So reading the news as Mailinglist was no option. And that was the point where I started my search for a newsgroup client. It was very very hard to find a program for that. If you search for "newsgroup client mac os x" you'll get some results that are not very useful in my eyes.
Anyway, in the end I found a very nice client called "nemo". The client is very nice a has the same look and feel like the iApplications. The only thing you could complain about is, that it is not free. But hey, it's only 14,99€ what is pretty fair.
I'll test this piece of software for some days now and will decide than if I purchase it. The chance is very high if nobody else shows me another tool that is for free. :-)
Greets,
Thomas

Hey Thomas,
I've been using Nemo for about 6 weeks now and I love it. I was always frustrated that Thunderbird didn't behave like a normal Mac application so Nemo has been great. Once Spotlight support is complete, I'll really be happy.
Hope you enjoy it too :)

Hi,
@Tim: Okay... Is there any release plan when TB3 will be stable?
@Jeff: I don't spotlight at all yet because it didn't maketoo much sense without using any "real" mac application. I'll give it a try now.
Greets,
Thomas
