Thomas from the "Fachinformatiker Blog" made a little video about the new features in TYPO3 4.2. I had the same idea some days ago but didn't made it yet. I guess this task is obsolete now and can be marked as done in my GTD plan. ;-)

what do you mean by "unfinished UI" - anything changed in version 4.2 b2?

Well, not exactly cause it's not complete, shows the unfinished UI and overall is not the best quality...
